Responsibilities
• Services include but are not limited to screening and assessment; diagnosis; treatment plans; therapeutic services, including access to medication prescribing and management; crisis care, including 24-hour call access; consultative services; and care coordination
• ESFs function as part of a system of care to ensure continuity of patient-centered, comprehensive, and coordinated care
• ESFs also ensure and coordinate access to ancillary, inpatient, and specialty services
• Psychiatric RN functions as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) primarily and as Nursing Staff secondarily
• Mental health professional (MHP) staff job descriptions:
• (a) Daily work with each Resident in the implementation of the Resident’s Behavior Support Plan
• (b) Daily charting of behaviors (mitigations, responses, changes, outcomes, and challenges); • (c) Coordination with the Resident’s community behavioral support provider
• (d) Development of activities to assist the Resident in social and life skills development in the Facility and in the community; and (e) Other aspects of the Resident’s behavioral support needs
• (f) Comply and enforce DSHS requirements
• (g) Coordination with pharmacies
• (h) Scheduling of medical appointments; and (i) Other specific elements of nursing duties
• (j) Comply with DOH licensing and nursing requirements (k) On call duties are assigned as per your availability and at your request
